Questions about the services we provide? Here is a list of some of the common services performed at Whitten Brothers Service Center:

Air Filter Replacement & Routine Tune-Ups

Replacing the air filter when suggested can increase your car's fuel economy, as well as reducing harmful emissions. A new air filter also keeps the internal engine components clean, lessening the wear and tear on the car's parts over time.

Routine repairs and tune-ups can also help with reducing emissions and keeping parts clean. Your car can leak fluids internally, and over time this buildup can be corrosive. During routine tune-ups, our mechanics will remove fuel deposits and clean off parts affected by fluid buildup, such as the intake valves, injectors, and combustion chambers. These simple maintenance steps will improve the throttle response in your car and keep it running smoother for longer.

Oil Change

The most common and frequently needed automotive service your car requires is getting an oil change. Depending on the car, an oil change is typically suggested every 3,000-10,000 miles. This simple and inexpensive service is one of the most important things you can do in maintaining your car.

Oil acts as a lubricant in the car's engine, preventing engine parts from rubbing together and wearing out. Routine oil changes will keep your engine in great shape over the years and prevent costly repairs down the road. Refer to the owner's manual for your car to see when you should be getting an oil change.

Wheel Alignment

Proper alignment is crucial in maintaining high vehicle safety standards. Alignment can be compromised in several ways, such as driving through large potholes, hitting the curb, or even typical wear over time. If your car is pulling to one side while driving or you feel vibrations from the steering wheel, you may need to have your car's alignment readjusted. Getting the alignment tested is a quick and easy way to save on costly maintenance services in the future, and realignment can prevent accidents caused by steering malfunctions.

In addition to saving you money in repairs and preventing dangerous accidents, proper alignment increases fuel economy in your vehicle. Automotive experts recommend getting your alignment checked every time you go in for an oil change.

Wiper Blade Replacement

An inexpensive vehicle repair, wiper blade replacement is an often-overlooked repair. Routinely replacing the wiper blades on your vehicle will increase vision capabilities in severe weather and give you an overall safer vehicle. Ask a service technician to check your wiper blades next time you come in for a tune-up or oil change to see if your blades are still working effectively.

Brake Fluid Exchange

Over time, the brake fluid in your car absorbs air and water, making the braking system more likely to fail. A brake fluid change will extend the braking capabilities in your car and increase the stopping distance. It can even prolong the life of the entire brake system. Replacing the brake fluid will also prevent corrosive damage in the vehicle's brake lines.

Coolant Flush & Replacement

What does coolant do for your car? The engine functions by a controlled yet explosive reaction, and to work properly, a careful temperate range must be maintained. The coolant acts to keep the engine in that zone, preventing it from getting too hot or cold during constantly changing air temperatures. Just like brake fluid, coolant gets dirty and becomes less efficient over time.

If you are unsure if you need a coolant flush and replacement, the specific vehicle's guidelines are outlined in owner's manual. You can also feel free to ask the qualified experts at Whitten Brothers about coolant maintenance for your car.

Transmission Fluid Exchange

Transmission fluid works by allowing your vehicle to seamlessly shift gears without damaging the gear teeth. In the long run, clean transmission fluid extends the life of your vehicle's transmission system. A transmission fluid replacement reduces sludge and debris in the system, while increasing fluid flow and lubrication, keeping your car driving smoothly. Check with one of our automotive experts or refer to your owner's manual to see how often your transmission fluid should be changed.

Power Steering Fluid Exchange

Changing the power steering fluid removes deposits from the steering gear and allows the steering wheel to turn without using excessive force. As your car's power steering system begins to wear down, dirt and metal particles contaminate the fluid, causing the system to eventually fail. Exchanging the power steering fluid will prevent power steering parts from deteriorating quickly. This service also increases lubrication to the power steering system, giving you an overall smoother driving experience.

Fuel Induction Service

Over time, your car's engine builds up deposits from the fuel it uses. A fuel induction service clears out these carbon deposits to make your car more fuel-efficient and reduce carbon emissions. Performing regular fuel induction services also improves throttle response by cleaning the throttle body, intake valves, injections, and combustion chambers in your car. If your car is shaking while idle or your fuel efficiency is not what it used to be, contact the experienced staff at the Whitten Brothers service center to see if your vehicle could benefit from this service.

Tire Replacement & Rotation

Tires are one of the most important parts of your car. They are the only connection between your car and the road. Once the treads begin to wear down on your tires, that connection becomes compromised, especially in severe weather. In addition to replacement, rotating your tires at regular intervals can give them a longer life and cost you less in the long run. Make sure to rotate and replace your tires when recommended by a service professional to prevent dangerous blowouts or loss of grip on the road.
