Meet Our Sales Staff

Born and raised in Hanover County, I’ve built a career rooted in a deep interest in and knowledge of all types of automobiles. Since entering the automotive industry in 2017 as a salesperson with Whitten Brothers of Ashland, I has moved through many positions within the organization. I’m now the General Sales Manager of the Whitten Brothers CDJR of Richmond sales department. My lifelong enthusiasm for cars has driven me to not only sell them but also build, customize, and race many vehicles over the years. It’s a hands-on passion that continues to fuel my work.
Now residing in King William, I balance my professional life with a strong commitment to family and community. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and loved ones, tinkering with all things mechanical, and traveling with my wife, Sam.

I started my journey with Whitten Brothers Automotive in 2013 in the detail department and quickly discovered a strong interest in the automotive world. Since then, I’ve worked my way up through car sales and automotive financing. Now I help lead the team as the Mazda Sales Manager at our Mazda dealership in Richmond. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for developing lasting customer relationships by focusing on transparency, consistency, and making the car buying experience smooth and enjoyable. As a lifelong Chesterfield County resident and a 2012 graduate of Manchester High School, I’m proud to serve the same community I grew up in. The high school is right in my backyard now, and I still enjoy going to a few games each year. Being part of a company that actively supports the local area makes the work that much more meaningful. Outside of the dealership, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Moose, restoring vintage motorcycles, and exploring Virginia’s scenic backroads on two wheels.

Outside of work, I’m a passionate outdoorsman. I enjoy boating, hunting, fishing, shooting, and just about any sport that takes me into nature. I’m also a devoted dog lover and find great joy in spending time with my canine companions, both at home and in the great outdoors. Whether it’s navigating open water, tracking game in the woods, or relaxing with my dogs, I bring the same enthusiasm and discipline to my personal life and my career. With a strong work ethic, a love of the outdoors, and a lifetime of automotive insight, I stand as a respected leader in my field.

I am a Sales Manager at Whitten Brothers CDJR of Richmond. After 20 years in Heavy Highway and Utility Infrastructure, I was looking for change career paths, and that led to the automotive industry. I’ve been in this industry for 14 years now. I started at a salesperson, then moved on to become a finance manager before entering my current role as a sales manager.
I really enjoy the comradery of this business and meeting and speaking with all the different people that I have come into contact with. Being able to help people find a vehicle that is perfect for the customers needs and building long term relationships is my goal everyday. I enjoy working with a fourth-generation family-owned business that continues to build long-term relationships with customers.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to music, watching movies, and grilling and smoking food for friend and family gatherings. I also enjoy supporting local businesses in the Richmond area.

I’m a Sales Manager at Whitten Brothers Mazda. I’ve had the privilege of growing my career here. I started as a receptionist and worked my way up to Internet Sales Advocate before taking on the role of Sales Manager. My goal is always the same. It’s to help customers find the perfect car that fits both their needs and budget while making the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 2010 and still live in the area, so it’s been amazing to serve the community that I’m proud to call home. Building long-lasting relationships with my customers is something I truly value, and I love seeing both familiar and new faces come through the dealership to drive away in their new Mazdas. When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me riding the motorcycle with my significant other, spending time with my two dogs, Oshie and Lady, or planning my next vacation getaway. I’m also a big fan of the Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!), and I love spending time with my family and friends, making memories that will last a lifetime. I take a lot of pride in what I do, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy on a customer’s face when they drive off in a car that’s just right for them.

I have been working for Whitten Brothers as a Sales Specialist for over 12 years. I enjoy helping people find the vehicle they’ve been searching for and showing them how it’s the right fit for them.
I have enjoyed cooking BBQ and baking for over 55 years. In that time, I’ve developed more than three BBQ sauces and two dry rubs. I’ve built three smokers over the years, and I have cooked for over 2,500 people at one time. It’s relaxing and enjoyable to feel that what you do makes a difference.

I’m the Service Director at Whitten Brothers CDJR of Richmond. I have over 30 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry. I began my career as an auto technician and later advanced to shop foreman before stepping into leadership. I bring deep technical knowledge and a strong commitment to customer service, using my background to guide and support my team while ensuring every customer receives top-tier care.
A proud graduate of Manchester High School and Chesterfield Technical Center, I have strong ties to the local community and take pride in serving the area where I grew up.
Outside of work, I enjoy racing BMX bikes and long-distance running. I’m currently training for a 10-miler, and I have a goal of completing a half marathon. I’ve been happily married for 20 years and am the proud father of three grown kids. I also make a point to call my mom every day – a small but meaningful reflection of my values. Whether it’s at home, on the track, or in the shop, I’m driven by a strong work ethic, deep loyalty, and a passion for continual growth.

I am the Parts Director for the Whitten Brothers CDJR of Richmond. I’ve been with Whitten Brothers since 1988. I started working the Parts sales counter before being promoted to Assistant Parts Manager in 1991 and later Parts Manager in 2001.
When not at work, I enjoy reading David Baldacci novels and going to the beach. I also enjoy the outdoors, playing golf, and taking evening walks with my wife, Heather. I volunteered and coached football at Weaver Athletic Association for over 13 years, and now watch many of my former players play at the college level.

My name is Harrison Whitten, and Whitten Brothers Automotive is a family business that I am proud to help carry forward. My great grandfather started this business on Broad Street in Richmond, VA, back when Broad was still a dirt road. I grew up locally and graduated from Collegiate High School before attending the University of Georgia.
I enjoy what I do and am particularly proud of the many ways our business can serve others. We strive to be active in the community, and we’re proud to have started the Whitten in the Community program in recent years.
I love the outdoor recreation opportunities that are so abundant in Richmond, VA. I love to kayak in the James River and spend a lot of time on the trails in the James River Park System.

My name is Zack Cochran & I’m the “other guy” in the commercials (the one on the right in the picture). I’m proud to have the responsibility to operate the Whitten Brothers family of dealerships with my cousin-in-law Harrison Whitten. The majority of my childhood was spent growing up in Charleston SC. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2001 and I’ve resided in Richmond ever since. My wife Sarah and I and our 3 children reside in Henrico County and when not at the dealerships or at my children’s various activities I enjoy the game of golf and attending as many college hoops games as my schedule will allow. I enjoy the retail automotive industry and I look forward to the many innovations and efficiencies that technology is constantly bringing to our industry. The automotive future is bright for the dealership and consumers alike!

I started with Whitten Brothers in 1995. I sold cars for 9 years, then moved to my current role as a Finance Manager. I have spent time at both Whitten Brothers locations in the Richmond area. During my career at Whitten Brothers Automotive, I’ve sold new Mazdas and new Chryslers, Dodges, Jeeps, and RAMS. I’m currently sales certified in both new Mazda sales and new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM (CDJR) sales. I currently own two Jeep Grand Cherokees and a Mazda CX-30.

Michael Martin Jr. is a Finance Manager at Whitten Brothers, where I’ve been a dedicated team member for the past 2 years. Originally from Chesterfield, Virginia, I graduated from Clover Hill High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Sport Management from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina.
I started my journey at Whitten Brothers in sales, where I worked hard to learn the business and support customers throughout the car shopping process. Over time, I was given the opportunity to move into the finance department — something I’m grateful for and take great pride in. My favorite part of the role is making the process of finalizing the paperwork involved in purchasing a vehicle smooth, clear, and stress-free.
My passion for cars started early and led to an internship with a NASCAR team in college, where I gained experience in sponsorships, logistics, and car building. I also served as a student manager for Gardner-Webb’s Division I baseball team, where I developed valuable leadership and organizational skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy racing, cars and trucks, baseball, basketball, and shooting sports.

I started my journey with Whitten Brothers 31 years ago as an entry-level cashier, and today I
proudly serve as Controller. It’s been an incredible experience growing with a family-owned
dealership that’s been a trusted name in Richmond since the 1920s. I’m passionate about
strong financial operations, team support, and doing things the right way.
Originally from Keysville, VA, I carry the values of small-town life with me – faith, hard work,
and family. I’m also a proud breast cancer survivor, celebrating 5 years cancer free. That
chapter gave me strength, gratitude, and a deeper appreciation for life.
I’ve been married to my husband, Allen, 9 wonderful years, and I have two amazing stepchildren, Allen Jr. and Paige. Our home is full of love (and fur!) thanks to our two sweet dogs, Bailey and Molly.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, tackling home improvement projects, and
going to concerts.
